Jack was first elected 7th Ward Alderman in the Spring of 2015.
As alderman, Jack brings energy, compassion, and a depth of knowledge about city government, development, and public safety to the 7th Ward. Jack serves on multiple committees including the Coronavirus Special Committee , the Housing, Urban Development and Zoning Committee, the Streets Committee, the Convention and Tourism Committee, Personnel and Administration, and the Public Utilities Committee, of which Jack is Chair.
In addition, Jack currently serves as a board member for the Downtown Community Improvement District, the Lafayette Park Implementation Advisory Board and is an active member of the Soulard Restoration Group.
Before being elected alderman, Jack got to know his 7th Ward neighbors working as a field organizer and campaign staffer for former President Barack Obama, former Senator Claire McCaskill, and former Mayor Francis Slay. After earning his law degree
In addition to serving as alderman, Jack works as an attorney in private practice at the law firm of Spencer Fane LLP. He lives in Soulard with his wife Susan and their dog Archie.
from St. Louis University School of Law, Jack worked as an Assistant Circuit Attorney where he prosecuted hundreds of felony-level cases while also encouraging citizen and neighborhood participation to create safe community.
