People should feel safe in their homes, businesses and neighborhoods. As a prosecutor, I have seen first-hand the devastating effect that crime has on people and neighborhoods. A visible police presence and an engaged, aware community are both crucial to making our communities more safe and secure. I will work to make police more visible, engage our neighborhoods as partners to build greater understanding between police, prosecutors and the public, and ensure that City resources are also directed at the root causes of crime, such as education, training and job creation.
As a City and as a region, we must reform government to better meet people’s needs, deliver services more efficiently and effectively, foster innovation and economic growth and build a government that our citizens can be proud.
I am a hands-on Alderman. I hold regular office hours, both at City Hall and elsewhere in the 7th Ward, attend neighborhood meetings, advocate for our ward at the Board and with City agencies, and make constituent service my top priority. So visit, call, text, tweet or message me, and I will respond promptly.
ECONOMIC GROWTH & JOBS
I understand that business owners need a City government that promotes economic growth. As Alderman, I actively work with entrepreneurs, business owners and neighborhood leaders to identify and pursue economic growth opportunities and create quality jobs in our neighborhoods.
